Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Retrohobby ("we", "us") governing your use of this website and any purchases you make. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Using the site

You may use Retrohobby for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use automated means to manipulate features such as hobby activity or earned certificates.

3. Accounts and personal data

We handle account, purchase and callback information as described in our Privacy Policy. You must provide accurate information and must not submit another person's mobile number without their permission. Do not use the callback form to send health information or other sensitive personal data.

4. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. Purchases and pricing

We offer digital products including ebooks and novelty certificates. Prices are shown in your local currency where available and include any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We recompute all prices on our servers at checkout; the price charged is the one confirmed at the point of payment.

Certificates are for entertainment only. They are novelty items, carry no accreditation, and have no legal or professional standing.

6. Digital content and your right to cancel

Our products are digital content supplied electronically. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have a 14-day right to cancel. However, by purchasing and accessing the content immediately, you agree that delivery begins at once and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once download/access has started. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the content is faulty or not as described.

6. Refunds

If a digital product is faulty, not as described, or does not work as it should, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact support@Retrohobby.com and we will put it right.

7. Intellectual property

The site, our branding and the content we create (including ebooks and certificate designs) are owned by us or our licensors. Embedded videos remain the property of their respective owners and are shown via third-party platforms. You may not resell or redistribute our digital products.

8. Third-party services and content

The site may depend on or link to independent providers, including payment processors, hosting and database providers, video platforms, analytics services, email services, social networks and external websites. These providers are not controlled by us and may change, suspend or remove their services without notice.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for their acts, omissions, content, security practices, privacy decisions, availability, data handling, delays, losses or failures, including where information is processed outside the UK or European Economic Area. You should review the provider's terms before using an integrated service or following an external link.

9. Health information and external activities

Retrohobby does not provide medical or dental advice, diagnosis or treatment. Any dental or medical booking link is provided for convenience and takes you to an independent external provider. Information about hobbies, groups, views, activities and providers is general information only and is not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of suitability, safety, availability or quality. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity or service is appropriate for you.

If you choose to book through a Google Calendar link, information you submit is shared with Google and the relevant booking provider. Google Calendar and other external services, links and groups are outside our control and are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. To the extent permitted by law, Retrohobby accepts no liability for external links, providers, groups, views, activities, booking systems, content, availability, losses or outcomes, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Coaches and coaching advice

Coaches listed or introduced through Retrohobby are self-employed, independent service providers and are not our employees, agents or partners. Each coach is responsible for their own business, professional conduct, advice, availability, pricing, tax, insurance, safeguarding obligations and compliance with all applicable UK laws and guidance.

Coaching is educational and informational only. We do not supervise, approve or guarantee a coach's advice, qualifications, suitability, statements, recommendations or conduct. You are responsible for deciding whether advice is appropriate for you and should obtain independent professional advice where necessary. To the extent permitted by law, Retrohobby is not responsible for any coach's advice, acts, omissions, losses, injury, dispute, breach of law or failure to perform their services. Any coaching complaint or claim should be directed to the relevant self-employed coach, without removing rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Retrohobby available and useful, but access may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults, internet failures, provider outages, cyber incidents or events outside our reasonable control. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, content or products and may update these terms when the service changes or the law requires it.

11. Our liability

We provide the site with reasonable care and skill but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of statutory consumer rights, or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, indirect losses, or losses caused by a separate third-party provider.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
